Another tough local derby against an improving Corby S&L would end in a stalemate. The Steelwomen had the better of the first half dominating possession and play, however found an S&L side who were determined not to give away any ground in or around there box, restricting the steelwomen, to half chances and snap shots. Eventual POTM Laura Dodwell came the closest to scoring when her curling effort appeared to be heading for the top corner but was superbly saved onto the bar. The second half was more even, S&L seized the advantage and had the greater possession but neither side were able to create any clear cut chances, in a typical hard fought, scrappy local derby. The steelwomen again showed good character after being reduced to 10 with for the final 15 minutes after a withdrawal through injury.
