Full Time Academy Open Evening

1 month ago By James McCafferty

Are you aged 16-18 and looking to combine football and studying in a football club environment?

Corby Town Football Club are holding an open evening on Tuesday 17th October 2017 for boys aged 16-18 who are looking to earn a place in next September's full time academy sides.

We are pleased to offer the chance of taking part in an educational programme, earning a level 2/3 BTEC in sports, with Maths, English and work skills courses also available.

This is an excellent way to take your first step towards becoming a professional or semi professional football player. In the last 2 seasons Corby Town FC have seen more than 10 academy players feature in the 1st team squad and now we are looking for the next local star to break through.... could that be you?

Start your Corby Town journey coming to our full time academy, helping you through your college course while also developing your football skills.

This is an outstanding opportunity to combine your studies with your football training as you will complete a college sports course alongside your training. This is all carried out on site at Steel Park Stadium, Monday-Friday and every Wednesday we play in the college national league competition.

The program is overseen by former Glasgow Rangers and Oxford United defender Steve Kinniburgh, who is the club's director of football and head coach of the academy sides.

Steve has many links and connections within the English Premier League, English Football League, and Scottish Premier League. In the past 12 months he has sent players for trials at teams including; AFC Bournemouth in the Premier league and Oxford United in the League 1.

If you think you have what it takes to break through at Corby Town FC or if you love football and want to play every day while doing you college sports course and competing in the college national league testing yourself against some of the best college players in the country then this course is perfect for you.

The open evening will take place at 6pm on Tuesday 17th October at Steel Park.

To register or for more information please contact Steve on 07871429735 or by e-mail on s_kinni@hotmail.co.uk.
