Corby Town secured their second 2-0 win of the week, as they completed the league double over Bishop's Stortford on Tuesday evening.
Goal's either side of the break from Nick Rogan (26) and Matt Rhead (79) were enough to wrap up all three points for the visitors and take the Steelmen to fifth in the table.
In a much closer contest than the 6-1 mauling at Steel Park in August, the Steelmen opened the scoring on 26 minutes, when Nick Rogan fired home from close range, past the helpless Archer in the Bishop's Stortford goal.
Lewis Whiteley had a great chance to level for the hosts before half-time, however he misjudged his effort to ensure than Corby lead at the break.
Captain Phil Gulliver almost doubled the Steelmen's advangtage just past the hour with a powerful header, however Stortford's Dunbar cleared from his own goal line.
It was 2-0 just a few minutes later however, as Matt Rhead was fouled in the box by Bishop's Stortford's Paco Craig and the referee pointed to the spot.
Rhead dusted himself off and converted the penalty, to score his fifth goal in three games, and secure Corby Town's first back-to-back league victories since early September.
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
