Paul Caswell has signed a deal with Corby Town, following a successful trial period with the club.
Former youth team player Caswell joined the team last month, with the task of proving his fitness to manager Graham Drury, and has now been handed a deal for next season.
“I am excited about Caswell signing, he has worked hard to get fit and he has the right mindset to make the most of this chance. He is untried at this level but I am confident he will make the step up, he has the right attitude to give it a go and make the most of the chance.”
Defender Tom Land had also joined the club. The former Gresley Rovers man is a product of the Derby County academy and has also featured for Sheffield Wednesday U18’s and Burton Albion.
Drury told corbytownfc.co.uk: “Tom can play at either right back or centre half and I've been impressed by how ambitious he is. He is another youngster who is hungry to do well and I think he'll be a good signing for the club. His attitude is spot on and he has always stood out whenever we've watched him. We'll benefit from his desire to do well and I think that will rub off on the players around him.”
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
