Corby Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Corby Radio is to become the club's official broadcast partner.
The local community-focused radio station broadcasts on 96.3FM and is in the second year of a five-year Community licence, serving the people of Corby, and surrounding towns and villages, with music, news and sport updates provided a dedicated team of volunteers at the studios based at the Connaughty Centre.
As part of the arrangement the organisations will collaborate on a number of projects designed to enhance their reputations within the community.
On announcing the mutually beneficial arrangement, Acting Chairman David Mallinger said: "We're pleased to have established what will be a mutually beneficial relationship with Corby Radio. They are doing a fantastic job in the community for the people of Corby and we're really keen to work more closely with them at the football club.
“We have already discussed a number of exciting opportunities where we can work together to promote each other and we hope to soon make further announcements about these opportunities.”
Des Barber, Station Manager added:
“We are very pleased and proud to be involved with The Steelmen and look forward to showing our support and commitment over the coming years. It is an exciting time for the club and the town and hopefully the new season in the new ground will bring families back to show their support for the team. Corby Radio will be the voice of the fans and we will keep them updated with everything happening at the club.”
