Corby Town put in a brave display to draw 0-0 away to Blue Square Bet Premier side Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round and ensure a replay at Steel Park on Wednesday evening.
Graham Drury's men will even feel that they could have won the match, having the most clear-cut chances during the 90-minutes.
The best chances of the first half all fell to the visitors, with James Ozmen, Nick Rogan and Jordan Smith all denied by Harriers goalkeeper Dean Lyness.
A number of last ditch tackles also denied Corby Town from taking the lead, after Jordan Smith sent Andy Hall clear, but Kidderminster's Marshall produced a fantastic challenge to deny him a shot on goal.
Nick Wright did almost give Kidderminster Harriers the lead on 36 minutes, when he flashed a shot across Chris Mackenzie's goal, which went inches wide of the far post.
Jordan Smith then capitalised on an error from the Harriers defence, however took too long to get his shot away as Lyness collected the ball from the Corby strikers feet.
Steve Burr's half time team talk kicked Harriers into life at the start of the second half, but Chris Mackenzie pulled off a string of impressive saves from Dave Bird and Marc Williams to keep the scores level.
Andy Hall went close to opening the scoring for the Steelmen just past the hour mark, with a carbon copy of his goal against Hednesford Town in the last round of the FA Cup with Budweiser. Hall curled a free kick from the edge of the box, that looked destined for the top corner of the Kidderminster net, however Lyness pounced to make a fantastic stop at full stretch.
Matt Rhead also went close, when he shut down a poor Lyness kick and the bal cannoned off of the Corby target man, however the ball went narrowly over the bar much to the relief of Lyness and the Kidderminster supporters.
Chris Mackenzie, who formerly played for the Aggborough club, then showed great technique and agility to deny both Steve Guinan and Kyle Storer as the home side started to sense victory.
However in the end it was Corby Town who almost put themselves into the First Round Proper, when Jordan Spruce failed to connect with Paul Mayo's pin-point cross just yards out.
The two sides will meet again on Wednesday evening, in a replay at Steel Park.
