A late revival was not enough to prevent the Steelmen from being dumped out of the FA Carlsberg Trophy by North Ferriby United this evening.
The Steelmen were forced to start with young goalkeeper Jack Drury following the withdrawl of Chris Mackenzie through illness.
Alex Davidson (43) opened the scoring for the hosts just before half time, with Wayne Brooksby (54) doubling their advantage after the break.
Goals from Leon Hibbert (67) and Matt Rhead (83) looked to have ensured extra time, however Corby Town were left heartbroken as Russell Fry netted a late winner (86).
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
