Corby Town are pleased to announce that they have arranged their first home pre-season friendly against Football League opposition at their soon-to-be-named new stadium.
The Steelmen will face npower League 1 opposition in the form of Notts County, the World's oldest league club on Monday 25th July in a 7.45pm kick-off.
The club intend to add to the list of home fixtures and can confirm that they remain in negotiations with teams, some of which are involved in European competition next season, with the aim of securing further matches that will officially open the new stadium.
Corby's new ground is currently without a name and supporters are reminded that they have until 5pm on Friday to propose suggestions for the new £1.5m venue.
The quality of entries so far has been very high and we are grateful to the number of supporters who have taken the time to propose a title. Further details about the competition are available on www.corbytownfc.co.uk.
Steelmen boss Graham Drury is making good progress in assembling his squad and season ticket sales ahead of the new campaign remain positive. Although the Early Bird discount period ended on 31st May there is still plenty of time to get your hands on a season ticket for next year.
An Adult season ticket is £210 and a family of four can enjoy 2011/12 at the new stadium for just £380 - just over £17 a game for two adults and two children under-16. What's more you'll get a £215 voucher for a family portrait with Venture Photography completely free. For more information and to buy online, please visit Corby Town's official website.
