Paul Mayo has become the latest player to sign for the Steelmen, following Leon Hibbert in a move back to Corby from Gainsborough Trinity.
Left-back Mayo spent one season at the Rockingham Triangle in 2009/10 following spells with Lincoln City, Dagenham & Redbridge, Watford, Notts County, Darlington and Mansfield Town.
He departed in the summer of 2010 to join Brian Little's Gainsborough, however he has returned to Northamptonshire after just one season.
Manager Graham Drury expressed his delight at Mayo's return, speaking to www.corbytownfc.co.uk: "It's not quite worked out as Paul wanted with the move to Gainsborough so we're naturally delighted that we've been able to work something out to bring him back to Corby. He was player of the season in the year that he left and he's another player I know the fans will be delighted to see back in a Corby shirt.
"He gives us plenty of options because he's comfortable as a left sided centre half or left back but he can also play in midfield too so to have a player on our books with three strings to his bow gives us real options. He is a good player and I'm looking forward to working with him again."
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
