Corby Town head to the Vic Couzens Stadium tomorrow to face Graham Drury's former club AFC Stamford.
The match marks the final away fixture before the Steelmen travel to The Shay to face FC Halifax Town in their first Blue Square Bet North match, with only home friendlies with Stevenage and Luton Town remaining at the club's new Steel Park stadium.
Corby head into the match after a morale boosting 2-0 win over League 1 side Notts County on Monday night, in their opening match at Steel Park. Goals from Nick Rogan and Sam Ives ensured victory over the Magpies who featured John Harley, Sam Sodje and Ricky Ravenhill in a strong line-up.
Corby boss Graham Drury will be hoping that this result will kick-start an indifferent pre-season which has witnessed his charges win two and lose three of their games so far.
Stamford go into the match on the back of a shock defeat in their local derby with Blackstones, however their pre-season to date includes wins over Louth and Brigg Town, plus a credible 2-2 draw with our Blue Square North rivals Boston United, who are now managed by former Steelmen striker Jason Lee.
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
