Corby Town's on-loan FA Cup with Budweiser hero Callum Reynolds believes that Corby Town can repeat their feat from the last round and shock another team from a higher division, when they head to Bristol Rovers' Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“We are all really looking forward to the Bristol Rovers game, all of the lads are buzzing about it, and we really believe that we can go there and get a result. The confidence is the dressing room is sky high at the moment, and we honestly believe that we can beat anyone at the moment"
Reynolds, who netted twice against Kidderminster Harriers in the 4th Qualifying round replay at Steel Park is looking forward to playing in front of the Steelmen faithful again and feels that they have an important part to play in the South-West.
“When we ran out against Kidderminster in the replay, we knew we would be going to a big League Two club in Bristol Rovers if we won and that was the big incentive for us. The atmosphere that the fans created that night was electric, it was a great game to play in and a brilliant night for Corby Town Football Club.
“We want to get that feeling going through us again because we were inspired that night, everyone was really up for it. There will be a big away following down there and we know that they can drive us on. It was great to get the two goals but the whole team were brilliant and I think we can put in the same sort of performance again. I am really enjoying playing for Corby."
The Steelmen are looking to reach the Second Round proper for the first time since the famous FA Cup run of 1965/66 when they overcame Luton Town at Kenilworth Road at that stage, before losing 6-0 away to Plymouth Argyle in the Third Round.
“I know the club hasn’t reached the second round for a long time so doing that this year will be a real achievement for the team and financially it will really boost the club too.”
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
