The club captain agreed terms with manager Graham Drury prior to his honeymoon and having now returned, the experienced centre-half has signed his contract.
Gulliver is a dominant central defender who was released by Rushden & Diamonds in 2008. He joined the Steelmen from Oxford City and made his debut in the game against Rugby Town on New Year's Day. When he first appeared his impact was immediate with the side going 530 minutes before they conceded a goal.
The defender played in the Football League for Blackpool, Carlisle United, AFC Bournemouth, Bury, Scunthorpe United, Rushden & Diamonds and Hereford United Phil led the Steelmen to the Southern League title in his first season and also netted at Rockingham Road in the Hillier Cup semi-final victory against local rivals Kettering Town in February 2010.
On announcing the news, Drury told www.corbytownfc.co.uk: “I'm pleased Gulls has extended his stay with us, he verbally agreed to the deal sometime ago and was actually the first to commit to the club for this season but we've had to wait until he's got back from his honeymoon to tie the deal up so I'm glad it is all sorted now.
"I think we're going to have a more experienced back four this year, certainly a more vocal one and that will take some of the weight off his shoulders. He is a leader and the younger lads who have come it can learn a lot from him."
