The Steelmen travelled to The Hunts Post Community Stadium this evening for the first of three pre-season fixtures in four days.
Manager Graham Drury named an inexperienced side, with run-outs for a number of first team members, including; Lee Windrum, Paul Malone, Phil Gulliver, Glenn Walker, Andy Hall and Jordan Spruce. A number of trialists also started for the Steelmen in Cambridgeshire.
Recently promoted St Neots, who had already played three pre season fixtures, were impressive and took the lead through former Aston Villa striker Stefan Moore.
Midfielder Sam Ives levelled for the visitors following some good link-up play with Jordan Spruce, however St Neots scored twice to seal a 3-1 victory.
Corby Town are expected to field a strong line-up tomorrow as they head to Occupation Road to face Corby S&L for the Bob Cummings Cup, with Andy Burgess, Paul Mayo, Leon Hibbert, Matt Rhead and Steve Towers amongst those re-called to the squad.
The match will kick off at 8pm.
