Many fans may see the close season as the quietest time of the year when it comes to a football club.
The truth is very different. Whilst Graham Drury and Paul Holden work on the squad, the stadium itself is in need of attention.
Work on the playing surface is still ongoing, following heavy investment since the building of the stadium began. However maintenance, improvements and adding the finishing touches to our brand new home is where supporters can help.
The club is organising a working party, this Saturday 4th June. If you have a few hours to spare please come along and volunteer. There is skilled and non-skilled work available and you will be playing a part in preparing Corby Town for the coming season. Please note that fans do not need to commit to the whole day, just whatever time you are able to provide. Why not come along to the ground this Saturday from 10 o'clock onwards?
Jobs include; Removing of signs in the old stadium, re-painting the changing rooms, fitting the new tunnel, digging/filling of goalpost sockets, transfer of the dug outs, painting of the social club toilets and corridor, plus other minor maintenance works.
The day will provide the chance for supporters to have a real look around the new stadium, as well as catch up with fellow Corby Town fans. The Euro 2012 Qualifier between England and Switzerland will also be screened in the bar at 4.45pm.
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
