Corby Town U'19s were edged out by Kidderminster Harriers at Aggborough on Wednesday evening, just days before the senior sides are due to meet in the FA Cup with Budweiser on Saturday.
Mark Peters' Steelboys were beaten by a single goal from Harriers' Derby on 17 minutes.
Corby Town have now dropped to 6th in the Football Conference Youth Alliance Central Division table, and will be looking to bounce back on Monday 31st October, when they host Colchester United at Steel Park in the FA Youth Cup.
Corby Town have received a positive response from applicants to the role of first-team manager.
