Corby Town under 18's secured a comfortable victory away to Rothwell Corinthians last night in the Northants Senior Youth League.
The Steelboys wasted a number of good chances in the first half and were unlucky to go into the break level. The closest chance of the half was a great header from Louis Trimble which rattled the crossbar from 10 yards.
Super-sub James Burlington scored with his first touch (65) driving a powerful shot across the face of the goal and into the net.
New signing Fraser Glover, son of former Corby Town manager Lee Glover, marked his debut with a goal (80) when he headed past the Corinthians goalkeeper.
Corby Town's number one, Callum Leech, pulled off a fantastic save late on to ensure a clean-sheet for the visitors and three valuable points.
