Kev Cushen's Corby Town recorded a comfortable win against Rushden & Higham in the Northants Senior Youth League on Monday evening, as they moved up to 3rd in the league table.
The Steelboys lead at half time thanks to Louis Trimble's header from a dangerous Corby corner.
The visitors continued to dominate proceedings after the break and were 2-0 up on the hour mark, when Kieran Joseph netted his first of the game. The Corby striker doubled his tally and increased Corby's lead to three ten minutes later when he neatly finished again following some fine wing play.
Corby were always in complete control of the contest, defending well and looking dangerous down both flanks throughout. The Steelboys were also unlucky not to extend their advantage further, with two goal-line clearances and a missed penalty from Jake Bettles.
Manager Kev Cushen was pleased with his team's display and told www.corbytownfc.co.uk: "That was a brilliant performance from our boys, they never stopped working and could have won by 5 or 6. After the blip against S&L last week it was just what the doctor ordered."
