Corby Town Football Club are running “Open Trials” for boys aged 8 to 16 years old. The purpose of the event is to recruit any promising players to our Academy and Development Centres.
The trials are open to outfield players and goalkeepers. The course will take place on:
Saturday 7th July 2012
9.00am to 10.30am – U9’s, U10’s, U11’s and U12’s
10.30am to 12.00pm – U13’s, U14’s, U15’s and U16’s
Saturday 21st July 2012
9.00am to 10.30am – U9’s, U10’s, U11’s and U12’s
10.30am to 12.00pm – U13’s, U14’s, U15’s and U16’s
Age groups noted above relate to the forthcoming 2012-13 season, with the trials being held on the 3G pitch at Kingswood School, Gainsborough Road, Corby, NN18 9NS.
Under the watchful eye of former professional footballer and current Head of Youth, Mark Peters, the scheme will provide players with a sound foundation to develop their technical skills and tactical knowledge in a professional environment. The club have entered both U15 and U16 age groups into the Midland Junior Premier League, whilst younger teams will compete against Football League and Conference opposition in competitive matches, complementing a twice weekly training program.
