Martin Harris said, "Following a very promising pre-season, the results from our first five games of this campaign have been very disappointing for all concerned. We have accepted Ian's resignation this evening and wish him every success for the future. As a result of Ian's resignation, we have this evening appointed Chris Plummer as Temporary Manager.
