CLUB STATEMENT: SAMPSON RESIGNATION

Following this afternoon's home defeat to Bradford Park Avenue, Corby Town can confirm that Ian Sampson has resigned as First Team Manager.
 
Sampson met with Chairman Kevin Ingram and Football Operations Director Martin Harris post match, in which after a short meeting, he informed them of his decision.  Sampson's resignation was accepted and he will leave the post with immediate effect.
 
Martin Harris said, "Following a very promising pre-season, the results from our first five games of this campaign have been very disappointing for all concerned.  We have accepted Ian's resignation this evening and wish him every success for the future.  As a result of Ian's resignation, we have this evening appointed Chris Plummer as Temporary Manager.  He will take charge for the foreseeable future, with his first focus preparing for our trip to Workington next Saturday."

Well where do we start paul malone has got worse since he has been given the captains armband he is to young to take it we need a big leader nit a guy which will be scared to say his bit to much on him take it off him and it will start moving in the right way. sorry paul not having ago but its true you dont need the pressure

Well where do we start paul malone has got worse since he has been given the captains armband he is to young to take it we need a big leader nit a guy which will be scared to say his bit to much on him take it off him and it will start moving in the right way. sorry paul not having ago but its true you dont need the pressure

the top and bottom of it is that the squad that Sampson assembled are just not good enough.Too many UCL standard players and the BSN is a different kettle of fish. On the budget available is this the standard we will get?

we need leader on the field.too much blaminig everyone else and not taking responsibility for their own faults. leon mckenzie took a lead when he gave a dressing down to the moaners, get a set format settled and tight defenceplayers who will wear the shirt and play for each other remeber our motto DEEDS NOT WORDS. PLAY AS A TEAM

I know its of conversation but the players coming through the corby academy look good for the future corby's 15's beat boston 7-0 ive been told this weekend

I think you will see a different side with Chris Plummer at the helm, he did a terrific job with Peterborough Northern Star when taking them to the Quarter Finals of the Vase, I know the man personally and he will know how to turn results around but he will need a few games to do it. Chris had a very small budget at PNS and look what he achieved there
