Corby’s Town entertain Manchester side Droylsden at Steel Park as The Steelmen look to maintain their league form.
The Bloods were founded in 1892 and play their home games at The Butchers Arms, Greater Manchester.
The side are managed by Dave Pace, who also happens to be the club chairman too. Droylsden managed a respectable ninth place finish last season, finishing nine points ahead of The Steelmen.
Droylsden were victorious last time out, winning 2-1 in Manchester, the first time they had ever come out on top in a league fixture. This perhaps was revenge for Corby’s impressive 5-2 win in November of last season at Steel Park, with Andy Hall, Sam Mullarkey, Matt Rhead and Andy Towers getting on the score sheet, as well as a Luke Holden own goal.
This campaign has so far seen Droylsden pick up seven points, the same as The Steelmen. A 1-0 home win against Gloucester at the weekend thanks to a late goal, a 5-2 win against Vauxhall Motors and a 0-0 stalemate with Stalybridge being their only games to shout about this season.
Chris Plummer’s side have seen their league form improve since his appointment as manager, no thanks to the goal scoring efforts of top scorer Josh Moreman, who has scored six in as many games.
Plummer could hand debuts to loan pair Jack Evans and Alex Brown, however, Ryan Semple is a doubt for the game. Stefan Galinski should be fit.
