Corby Town will go head to head with a familiar Histon side on Wednesday evening in a replay of Saturday’s FA Cup third qualifying round tie.
The original clash ended 1-1 in Cambridgeshire, where Jordan Ivey-Ward cancelled out Paul Malone’s opener, with The Steelmen’s lead lasting just six minutes.
The fourth qualifying round draw has been drawn and the winner of the tie will host either Eastbourne Borough or Hendon, who play tonight (Tuesday 9th). The match will be played on Saturday 20th October.
Manager Chris Plummer told John Dunham from the Northamptonshire Telegraph that a draw was probably a fair result.
“I think a draw was probably about right, it was a fair result, But we know there is still a job to do on Wednesday night before we can think about anything else.”
Team News
On loan defender Stefan Galinski, who brushed off a knock to play the full 90 minutes on Saturday, is likely to feature, but Alex Brown, who joined alongside team mate Jack Evans from Gillingham, has returned to his parent club.
The midfielder damaged his medial ligament during the 5-0 win over Droylsden last week and scans have revealed that he will be out for as much as 8 weeks.
Other than that, there are no new players on the injury list.
