Corby Town manager Chris Plummer has ensured that his side are prepared for a big week, ahead of their Blue Square Bet North clashes with Gloucester City on Wednesday and Histon on Saturday.
The Steelmen, who trained on Saturday following the postponement of the Harrogate Town fixture, will be looking to bounce back from back to back defeats when they take to the Steel Park pitch on Halloween.
“Saturday's game at Harrogate being called off was less than ideal, but at least we didn't have to make the trip up to Yorkshire and managed to get all of the players together for a full training session.
"This next week will be extremely important for us. The games against Gloucester and Histon may not be pivotal to the outcome of our season, but we know that we need to be prepared for them and try and get some more points on the board to move away from the bottom of the table.
“These will be big games for us, Gloucester on Wednesday and Histon on Saturday, and although our season won’t be made or broken by them, they are games that we need to be properly prepared for.”
Corby Town are currently second bottom, however have two games in hand over both of their rivals. Only two points seperate the Steelmen from Gloucester in 15th place, and maximum points from their two games could potentially see Plummer's side rise as high as 11th in the Blue Square Bet North.
