Ian Sampson's Steelmen welcome npower Championship club Birmingham City to Steel Park on Monday evening for their final pre-season friendly ahead of the Blue Square Bet North opener against Vauxhall Motors on Saturday 18th August.
Blues head into the match on the back of a 3-1 defeat against Royal Antwerp at St Andrews Stadium at the weekend, whilst the Steelmen celebrated a Bob Cummings Cup win in their last outing against Stewarts and Lloyds Corby last Tuesday.
Manager Ian Sampson is looking forward to facing Birmingham, as the Steelmen look to maintain their unbeaten record under the former Northampton Town boss.
He told www.corbytownfc.co.uk; "It’d be nice to go into the first game off the back of another good result, that would set us up really well. We’re currently undefeated in pre-season, which is pleasing. But, as I’ve said before, I don’t read too much into pre-season. Yes we’re undefeated, but we’re undefeated with no points to our name.
"We’ve took on a pretty good range of teams throughout pre-season, which Birmingham City will add to, so it’s been a very worthwhile summer."
The match at Steel Park will kick off at 7.30pm, with admission prices set at £6 for adults, £3 for concessions and FREE for all Under 16's.
All under 16's will also be able to apply for a free season ticket at the match tomorrow for the 2012/13 season.
