Corby Town host Brackley Town on Monday afternoon in the first Northants Derby of the season.
The two sides have suffered opposite starts to the season with last season's Southern Premier League champions sitting on maximum points following their opening three matches in the division, whilst Ian Sampson's Corby are yet to register a single point from their first trio of games.
Brackley, managed by Jon Brady, are full of confidence ahead of the Bank Holiday Monday fixture having scored ten goals in their three games so far as they beat Altrincham 4-1, Hinckley United 5-0 and Bishop's Stortford 1-0.
The two sides last met in April's Northants Hillier Senior Cup Final at Nene Park. when an Elliot Sandy goal was enough to take the trophy back to St James' Park.
Corby Town manager Ian Sampson will be eager for his side to show their character by bouncing back from their three successive league defeats against the high-flying Saints.
The Steelmen were put to the sword by Worcester City on Saturday. Lewis Webb scored the only goal for the visitors in a 5-1 defeat.
In the aftermath of the game the Corby boss was critical of his side's individual mistakes, which he felt cost them the goals.
Brackley include a number of former Steelmen in their squad with Brett Solkhon, Steve Diggin, Glenn Walker and Tommy Jaszczun all anticipated to feature.
