Blue Square Bet North newcomers Bradford Park Avenue have certainly not hesitated in introducing themselves to the league during the first four games of the season.
The Avenue have picked up six points from a possible twelve, leaving them unbeaten in eighth place, and a win at Steel Park on Saturday could take them as high as fourth.
Tim Deasy (Gateshead), Liam Wakefield (Doncaster Rovers – loan) Jamie Jackson (Worksop Town), Danny Holland (FC Halifax Town) and Paul Walker (Garforth Town) have all arrived at The Horsfall Stadium this pre-season, but they are just the ones that have stayed.
In total, manager John Deacey managed to bring in 8 players during the summer, but three have since departed the club.
Simon Baldry rejoined the club from Guiseley after two years away, but has since gone on to retire. Former FC Halifax Town full back Aaron Hardy joined the club but has moved to Evo-stik side AFC Farsley on dual registration, but it is their short serving goalkeeper that has made the headlines.
Simon Eastwood joined the West Yorkshire club following his shock release from rivals Halifax, but the former Huddersfield Town and Oxford United stopper has won himself a move to cash strapped League One side Portsmouth, where he started the season as their first choice keeper.
Bradford made their way to the Blue Square North by winning the Evo-Stik Premier play-offs last season, beating FC United of Manchester in the final.
The Steelmen will be eager to turn around their own early season form, as they sit at the foot of the table following four defeats so far this term.
Ian Sampson is expected to welcome striker Leon McKenzie back into the squad on Saturday, however defender Nathan Horne is a doubt.
