The CNG Stadium is set to welcome the Steelmen tomorrow, as they travel to Yorkshire to face Harrogate in the Blue Square Bet North.
Graham Drury will be hoping for a touch of ‘bouncebackability’ from his side as they enter the contest off the back of a defeat to league rivals Boston United last Saturday.
A 93rd minute winner from Ben Fairclough condemned Corby to a fifth home defeat in a row and saw the Steelmen slip to 10th in the table.
In contrast to their poor form at Steel Park, Graham Drury’s men find themselves amidst a relentless run on the road. Corby haven’t lost an away fixture since September, a statistic Steelfans will hope continues against Harrogate Town.
Despite sitting six places below the Steelmen in the Blue Square Bet North table, opponents Town will enter the contest full of confidence following a victory against Hinckley last Saturday.
Early goals from Richard Pell and Robbie Youhill were enough to win three points for Harrogate, sealing them their first home win since December.
Simon Weaver’s side then followed their league victory with success in the County Cup on Tuesday, Lee Elam netting the only goal of the game against Ossett Albion.
If it’s one thing Corby fans can expect from their clash with Harrogate, its goals. Town supporters have seen a total of 20 hit the back of the net in their last five games. Unfortunately for the home side twelve of those goals have been scored against them.
Steelmen strikers Mullarkey and Jones will look to add to that hefty tally tomorrow, as the duo lead the front-line for Corby Town.
Both Anysley McDonald and Jean-Sylvain Dossou are still struggling with injuries and are not expected to make the trip to Yorkshire.
