Ian Sampson’s Steelmen head to Damson Park on Tuesday evening to face Solihull Moors, as they look to bounce back from their opening day disappointment.
Both sides go into the match on the back of 3-1 defeats on Saturday, with Corby beaten by Vauxhall Motors at Steel Park, whilst Solihull lost in Wales against Colwyn Bay.
The Steelmen are historically strong away from home in the Blue Square Bet North, and were victorious in the corresponding fixture last season as they ran out 2-1 winners. Mark Jones netted a double for the Steelmen on New Years Day, with Walker converting a late penalty for the hosts.
However, the Moors are generally regarded as Corby’s bogey team, having won five of the last six fixtures between the two sides.
Marcus Bignot’s side finished 2012/13 in 19th position, two places below Corby Town. They have made a number of changes during pre-season including signing former Steelmen midfielder Andy Gooding and former Trinidad and Tobago striker Stern John.
Ian Sampson has a full squad to choose from for the trip, with the exception of striker Ricky Miller who is serving the final match of his suspension.
