Corby Town have completed the signing of former Peterborough United and Stockport County defender Carl Piergianni on a non-contract basis, following his release from the Blue Square Premier side.
The centre half goes into Chris Plummer’s side to face Altrincham, another of Piergianni’s former clubs, on Saturday.
Piergianni, 22, made 44 appearances for Stockport last season, where he was brought in from The Posh by then manager Didi Hamann. He proved to be one of their better players as The Hatters fought off relegation.
He also made one appearance for Peterborough, coming on in the 95th minute against Rochdale.
