Corby Town have completed the signing of Richard Jones from Peterborough North Star.
The 6' 5” defender is the brother of recent recruit Mark and goes into the Steelmen's squad for the trip to Hyde on Saturday.
After concluding the deal, Graham Drury commented: “I've tried to sign Richard on a couple of occasions in the past but it didn't come off.
“He is a big lad but he is the right build and stature for a defender and he didn't look out of sorts in midweek when he played against us in the Hillier Cup. He is strong and aggressive and no slouch; I always felt he was quick but when he beat Jordan Smith to the ball after giving him a yard head start I realised just how quick he was!
“I believe he will do well but like Mark and others before him, he is going to need time to adjust to this level. It's a big step up.
“I am sure having his brother here will help him settle into the dressing room but he is in for a baptism of fire on Saturday if he does get on the pitch against Hyde so it will be good to see where he is at now and how he copes.
“I have every confidence he will be a good signing for us and it is good to have been able to bring in another young player with potential to work with.”
