We would like to thank fans for their passionate and dedicated support of the first-team throughout the season. It has been appreciated by the manager, the players and the board throughout the campaign.
There have been some significant highs along the way: the opening of the new stadium, the FA Cup run - the Kidderminster games in particular - and the visit of Rangers to name but a few. There have also been some big disappointments too, ones we don't care to dwell on or mention.
It has not quite ended on the pitch in the way we all hoped for given the promising start. However the 17th placed finish should still be regarded as an achievement under the circumstances and credit is due their to the management team and the players for their professionalism throughout.
Off the pitch, we concluded our main objective, which was to ensure the club survived difficult financial circumstances at the turn of the year to complete the season, and remain a Blue Square Bet North team for the 2012/13 season.
We fully appreciate that there have been a lot of questions posed, a lot of accusations made and rumours spread in recent months. A lot without foundation.
It was not the time to answer those as they were made. Our only interest has been in securing the long term future of the club. In no way would we ever want to detract from, or draw attention away from, matters on the pitch – for that reason we have kept our thoughts to ourselves and remained relatively silent throughout.
In that time we have not shied away from making big decisions. Not all of which we know have been accepted well but decisions that needed to be made for the good of the club.
Now the curtain has come down on the season, we will, over the coming weeks and months, provide the answers to your questions. However, it must be noted we are approaching the final stages of completing the sale of our shares to Mr. Kevin Ingram and that will remain our sole focus for the foreseeable future.
Once that sale has been concluded then we will respond to a number of points and fill in the 'missing details' regarding some of the issues that require clarity.
Until then, we would like to thank you once again for the support you have given the team during 2011/12 season. We look forward to seeing you at Steel Park again soon.
David Mallinger (Acting Chairman) and Graham Starmer (Vice-Chairman)
