Corby Town got off to a winning start in the Football Conference Youth Alliance Division A, as they beat Hitchin Town 3-1 in their opening game of the season at Manor School Sports College.

Ottoway, Joyce and Smith scored for the Steelboys to secure all three pointsand send them to the top of the table, with Aldershot beating Bashley 2-1 in the league's only other game.

They are next in league action on Wednesday 26th September, when they visit Watford Hertswood.

However, first up for Mark Peters and Dale Brunton's side is a trip to Yaxley in the FA Youth Cup.

This match been arranged for Thursday 20th September 2012, at Yaxley's Leading Grove ground. The match will kick off at 7.45pm, with admission prices £3.00 for adults and £1.00 for concessions.
