Corby Town have completed the loan signings of duo Louis Tambini and Wilson Carvalho from Sky Bet League One side Port Vale.
The midfield pairing have arrived on an initial one month loan until January 2014 from the Vale Park side.
Tambini is a product of the Leicester City academy and signed for Port Vale in May 2013, having also been on trial at Brentford during the summer.
Carvalho started his youth career at Barclays Premier League club Fulham, before having a spell at Stevenage. He joined the Nike Academy and impressed whilst on trial with Birmingham City during the summer, before signing his contract at Vale Park.
The pacy winger is no stranger to the Calor League Premier Division, having recently completed a month’s loan spell at high flying Hemel Hempstead Town. He showed an eye for goal during that time, netting 4 goals in 6 appearances for the Tudors.
Corby Town joint manager Tommy Wright told corbytownfc.co.uk “We have signed both players until the New Year, with the intention of potentially extending that period further.
“Wilson is a very quick and skilful winger, who comes from a good footballing background. The fact that he was at the Nike Academy shows exactly what he is about and I think the supporters will really enjoy watching him.
“Louis is a tall energetic goalscoring midfielder who can also play up front. I have had some really good reports from the coaching staff at Leicester City from his time there.
“Their manager Micky Adams was also my boss at Leicester and he has been very complimentary of both players when I have spoken to him.
“These signings should excite the fans and they can maybe expect another one early next week. We are in good shape and looking strong again with great balance, depth and team togetherness in the group.
“We go into the game tomorrow with the boost of fresh faces and myself and Stan welcome both players to Steel Park and are really looking forward to working with them.”
Tambini and Carvalho are expected to go straight into the squad ahead of tomorrow’s match against Chippenham Town at Steel Park.
